Discussion favorite alcohol or mixed drink?

i'm thinking of trying to buy a bottle of something for myself at home, but since i'm a lightweight and relatively new to drinking i don't really know what to get and i don't have friends who drink (or drink in general). i would like to drink at home to save money, since i have social
anxiety if i go to a bar. i like midori sours and think bourbon/whiskey is too harsh lol. i probably don't like dark liquor.

I've never made anything personally besides a few easy ones.
I'm mostly drinking whiskey or vodka straight, sometimes beer; could always buy white claws or something like that to drink with on the side if you wanted to get drunk quickly.
Jager and energy drinks are my favorite. I like it with red bull but monster also works.

My favorite beer was always Guinness Blonde, followed closely by a seasonal Great Lakes lemon hefeweizen. My favorite cheap beer is Molsen; it's scuzzy, but endearing. A lot of the Sam Adams seasonals are solid, and a little brewery called MadTree has a seasonal, coffee-infused blonde lager called Coffee Table that's delicious, but they don't run it every year. The classic Guinness stout is always solid, but drinking stouts in warm weather feels like chugging motor oil to me.

As far as mixed drinks go, I like a gin and tonic or a whiskey and Coke. I like whiskey, scotch, brandy, and bourbon generally.

My favorite wines tend to be ports (despite not having a sweet tooth), or dark red blends, regardless of season. I rarely purchased wine for myself, but the value of learning how to pair wine with meals shouldn't be underestimated.

Sorry for the ramble; this sort of thing was my profession for a long time. Believe it or not, I have only been drunk twice in my life.

I like gin and tonic. I mainly drink cans of guinness though. G and T and guinness are the only things that dont give me horric hangovers when i drink to excess.

I didn;t drink anything in a long time, but Apple Ciders are a personal favorite of mine [when it comes to alcohol]. Rum-flavored sweets are also pretty amazing.

alcohol is disgusting.. drink some thing actually tasty like some choccy milk or mocha.. one thing i do is i get different flavors of coffee creamer but instead of putting them in coffee i put them in milk so i can have flavored milk.. you can also blend milk with a banana and drink some banana milk.. or other junk in there.. some times i put milk and blueberries in there, or cherries, or what ever else i can find in my deep-freezer.. if you want to drink some thing thinner than milk get some pineapple juice or like the strawberry-banana drinks you can find at aldi's or where ever..

I enjoy cider, it's has a good taste and at the local grocery store is one of the cheaper options. Not as cheap as beer but I don't really like beer.

My go to when I'm at home is just vodka with pepsi max. I don't mind cocktails but vodka and soft drink is easiest when I'm at home by myself. Sometimes I have to rely on cask wine because alcohol is so heavily taxed in my country.

Haven't had any alcohol for over a year. In terms of beer I like Taiwan Beer, Sapporo, and Guinness. Usually my go to in a bar is Long Island iced tea. I quite like alcoholic root beer too.

I alternate between red wine and Jack Daniel's when I'm by myself. I go wild on cocktails when I'm out, though.

My favorite is Captain Morgan mixed with Pepsi. Gives it a nice vanilla flavor while also giving me a good buzz. I'm supposed to get paid today so I might get me some of that when it happens.

i've enjoyed almost every alcohol i've tried (not rum and coke though... that was really gross). i especially love vodka based drinks! i dont have an exact cocktail in mind, but my ideal is probably vodka, sprite, and some sort of fruit syrup

for getting fucked up and forgetting about my issues i drink fireball, 4loko, or vodka. If i want something more casual I tend to go for a mikes hard lemonade, smirnoff ice, or a PBR if you like beer instead of fruity drinks. I tend to stay away from IPA's cause I think they're gross.

White Russian. Vodka, Kahlua and cream go surprisingly well. Moscow Mule is a nice one too.

There was this one bar I used to go to daily. I won't say the name of the drink just in case because looking up online it seems like it's their own thing. From what I remember it was licor 43, milk, heavy cream and strawberry syrup. That shit was dangerous it tasted exactly like ice cream with strawberry glaze. When I struggled with alcohol abuse it felt like a 2-in-1, but obviously in a bad way. It was so sweet, it almost felt nostalgic for some reason.

When I've made drinks at home it's more simple.
Sweet tea vodka
Jack and coke
Irish cream coffee
Samurai rock

As for beers, literally the only thing I actually enjoyed is Tsingtao, it's very refreshing and light. Any other brand I have just had because it's more available and usually cheaper here.
