Too many mistakes. Unlike homicide, suicide is supposed to be routine LE work. Not sure what happened.

Brian Alex Reynolds, known as Alex, was found dead at his home in Bury, at 8pm on March 9. A note left in his living room had contained his dying wishes, with a message to his wife Victoria.

LE doesn't care about any of that, they won't follow any rules but their own..and even then, sometimes legally binding documents aren't enough to stop them from shitting all over someone's dying wish (or life).
It won't stop the family most of the time either, most relatives will just do as they please no matter what type of plea or requests the deceased made (even if they begged them to their face before dying).

I've read that if you leave a suicide note at the location where you die, the police will more often than not sieze it as "evidence"

When my brother died by suicide, he left his note in a locked safe in his house, so we were able to read it. It's what I plan to do if I ever work up the courage to CTB

I see it a little differently. Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but dude shouldn't have relied on a suicide note for burial instructions. Secondly, burial wishes? Who cares. You dead. And just left loved ones behind to deal with it--which I believe you have every right to do. The anger/frustration/hurt seems displaced, perhaps a way of coping with it. He just left her with four kids to raise.

Again, totally his right. It can still be his right and a crummy thing to do. Those aren't mutually exclusive. A lesson for all of us, regardless of where in life you are: have your affairs in order.
