Failed attempts

Would anyone like to discuss failed attempts? Just got out of psych ward after I hung myself sitting in chair, somehow the belt broke but not sure how long it took to break and I was without oxygen long enough to not be aware. I can block the blood and pass out fast now. Supposedly I was screaming and thrashing about.
Might I also mention I couldn't talk for at least a few hours, I would try and say something but it sounded like gibberish, then I would pass out again. But I knew in my head what I wanted to say.

all my failed attempts were from poor execution and SI overtaking what I wanted to do. I got close to passing out i believe with partial a few times but that's as far as i could go. A long time ago I took 1g of dxm (roughly 17.5mg/kg) not really caring if i lived or died and just wanted a trip as well. Way under the lethal dose i believe.

Main reason i've chosen SN/N since i can't really back out of those once i take it.

I have not properly attempted. I was at a desperate point and I intended to ctb, but I did not get very far. Ctb is very difficult but I know that eventually I will get the courage needed to exit this world. I'm sorry you went through that failed attempt. It sounds very unpleasant. Hanging will likely be my method and I need to make sure it does not fail. We all deserve a peaceful exit at a time of our own choosing.

I tried to ctb 20 years ago by hooking up a hose pipe to the back of a car. The problem was I didn't to enough prep before hand and i was discovered by someone who called the police. I was unconscious at the time and well on my way to dying when I got dragged out of the car. In those 20 years my feelings haven't changed, in fact as I write this I'm in a really bad place but I am too scared to try again (as I have wanted to many times) purely because I am afraid of getting caught again.

I guess this is why I'm glad I have discovered SS so this time I can do my preparation and get it right this time. It's just a damn shame that using a car and a hosepipe is no longer reliable because that was so peaceful and easy.

My last attempt was CO.
Failed.
Coma for a week, cerebral death state they said.
Intensive care for one more week when I miraculously woke up.
I am now deaf from one side and my leg from the same side does not work anymore.
I seriously don't recommend this method.

Really sorry to hear that you had to go through this. I guess I was 'lucky' that I was found before any long term damage could be done. I'm also guessing that if we had both been given enough time we wouldn't be here writing this. I still think that CO will be my chosen method if done correctly.

But honestly I drank a lot and took lots of meds to fight SI before locking me in my room so I must have made some mistakes being drunk. I can't remember at all what happened this night.

But honestly I drank a lot and took lots of meds to fight SI before locking me in my room so I must have made some mistakes being drunk. I can't remember at all what happened this night.

I don't understand, the gas doesn't even last for that long right, so how could 2 more hrs be fatal, I thought it takes like minutes to die. Or was it like a car. Sorry just trying to understand
