  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Let's list factors that increase or decrease SI. I know, this is complex topic, a fact can both increase it or decrease it depending on context

Increasing SI:

-thinking about worst case scenarios such as what if we survive it with disability and feeling helpless

-feeling scared, worried intensely

-not having access to anything like SN or asphyxiation gases or medications

Factors that decrease SI:

-Researching worst case scenarios and finding effective ways to address them

-Reducing fear or worry, taking ctb less seriously, or even laughing. Humor can greatly decrease SI

-Reading about Near death experiences

-Having access to quiet place, and necessary equipment

-Having access to this forum and supportive people

Never thought about using humor/taking CTB less seriously to overcome SI, but it makes sense. Maybe this is something I could try as I already have a dark sense of humor lol

exactly! Dark sense of humor!!! it helps greatly. Too much dark sense of humor even turns into positivity and humor in general, One starts to just feel positive, even curious what is after ctb and death
