Well, there is a lot that can still go wrong for people trying to figure out how to exit this life. It makes sense to want to stay anonymous. Honestly, I doubt anyone will give much of a shit in a place like Syria but here in the "free" west you can have your plans shut down very easily if you put yourself out there.
