Anybody here anything new or promising about the eyedrops/tetrahydrozoline method lately? It hasn't been discussed here in quite a while. Any and all information would be appreciated. I really want to give this method a try, but my one concern is vomiting. I have crippling emetophobia.

There were a few of us talking about Visine (Tetrahydrolozine).
If you search "Visine for Suicide".

I have been reading as much as I can on it but there's some good information on that Thread.

I wonder if it's toxicity is kept quite on purpose.
If it was discovered as the new go to like SN a lot of money would be at stake.
If the government stepped in and demanded the dose of Tetrahydrolozine be reduced it would have a negative effect on manufacturers.

Personally I think mixing it with other CNS depressants ie Opiate and Benzos mixed with Visine might "Supercharge" that combo.

You can read on housewife's poisoning their husbands with a few drops over time lethal then read I drank 10 bottles and was fine.
I think it's worth looking into.
Someone on that thread had come up with a rough dosage calculation.

I tried 8 bottles last March. Unfortunately I'm still here. Next day I felt like garbage and was very very dizzy. I'm not sure how those people killed their spouses or whatever but I want to find out more how they did it.

My hunch is that drinking eye drops won't kill you.

Yea I've read every post/thread on this website and looked up everything I could find on the internet which wasn't much. I'd give anything to know how to make this method work. I bet there's someone out there that knows.

Keep in mind I got this info from cursory google searches and back of the napkin math.

Tetrahydrozoline has an oral LD50 of 785mg/kg in rats. Meaning if you give 785mg for each kg that an individual weighs (ie 1570mg for a 2kg individual), this is enough to kill in 50% of cases.

If we extrapolate this number to a say 150lbs person (68kg) then they would require 53,380 mg, or 53 grams.

Visine, an over-the-counter Tetrahydrozoline product contains 0.5mg/mL in bottles of 15mL. So 7.5mg of Tetrahydrozoline in a bottle. And a 150lbs individual needs 53,380mg to reach the LD50 dosage. That means you need to take something like 7 thousand bottles.

Now, I am aware of cases where people have been poisoned by Tetrahydrozoline without realizing, and I can't imagine slipping 7k bottles of Visine in someone's drink lol. I don't really know what to make of this. The LD50 is stated by the manufacturers themselves, on regulated Safety Data Sheets. Maybe you can find Tetrahydrozoline products at much higher concentration than 0.5mg/mL but I couldn't find any.

TL;DR: If you take my data at face value though, ctb with Tetrahydrozoline is very unlikely to work.

So strange as there have been multiple poisoning/murders from drops daily in someone's juice. From their significant other.

That's the thing I don't get. People on here claim they've downed as many as 10 bottles and it didn't do anything and then you see these news stories where it gets sprinkled on someone's food and it's lights out. Makes no sense.

I think with these cases (based on my understanding of forensic files I've watched) was that the SOs poisoned them over a long period of time. I recall a few cases where spouses killed their SO via poisoning via say antifreeze over a long period of time until death. Can anyone in the know confirm this methodology (I'm guessing here)

Also I read a story about a guy who tried to CTB with 8 bottles I think and he brought himself to the hospital. His blood pressure dropped significantly but not enough to kill him. Have to find a link to the study

I think I read that one. It was an older guy who couldn't see his grandkids or something like that.

Right, which is why I said I don't know what to make of this. There's a non-zero chance I'm missing something but idk. Someone in the thread suggested Visine poisonings are done over long periods of time which might be the explanation.

Poisoning over time cases seem to have been some years ago where eye drops were mixed in with other chems and into specific dishes that potentially increased the toxicity of the meal. Else I got no idea.
Drinking eye drops out of the bottle doesn't seem to work, I've also tried it but just ended up sick and no closer to CTB. If they worked we'd have had a bunch of successful CTBs.

You also have to ask yourself what condition these people were in. How old were the people who died? Did they have other medical conditions? Were they poisoned with anything else along side what was reported? This is what makes poisoning (and ODs for that matter) difficult to recommend as a method as they rely on a larger number of variables than merely "take X amount".

What side effects did you experience, if any? I was dizzy af and could not maintain my balance for a few days. I hated it. Most likely won't try that again FWIW
