Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Has anyone gone through the application process for Dignitas or Pegasos? I'm considering this route but it's very expensive and the travel would be difficult.

It's an extremely complicated process and will take a long time and you can still be told no at the end.

I'm in my 30s and they expect me to tell my family and also come with a family member. no chance of that.

There's also many reports of these companies taking your money and not contacting you back.

I really wish there was an easy way some of us are suffering immensely.

I'm 56 and have been suffering for a long time. It's likely my husband would be willing to come with me. It would be hard but not impossible to tell my children and my mom.

But the reports of getting ripped off are worrying.

As long as you have the proper papers proving your condition. They need proof of "unbearable suffering" then you'd need to tell family. it might go well for you just look up which is best. I believe pegasos is known to have scammed more people because they are less know. Dignitas is more respected but has a overall harder process from what I've heard.

Thank you. Can I ask where you've seen reports of being scammed? I was more interested in Pegasos, because as you said, they are not quite as strict in their acceptance process.

Reddit. People have long detailed stories about it. It's really disappointing that they would scam people that are already vulnerable and in pain

I think they're probably just confused. If you don't get approved, you don't get your full deposit back, they keep part of it and call it an application processing fee. If someone fails to read that on their "facts" page, they might think that they've been scammed. But Pegasos is making good money and they don't need to scam anyone, nor do they want any negative press.

They're the strictest, you'd need actual physical problems with medical documentation.

I was reading the page yesterday. It says if you are declined ny them you get your full deposit back, but if the APPLICANT withdraws from the process they only get a portion back.

Wrong. People have been APPROVED and then scammed. You can read the stories yourself. One person got into a car accident and missed their flight. Pegasos told them its fine they will just rebook no problem then stopped replying to their emails.

You can read the stories yourself.
