Most threads on here seem to be about the exit bag method using an inert gas, so I'm wondering what resources are available on the exit bag method WITHOUT gases?

I've read the Final Exit which basically says sleeping pills + big bag but I feel like I'm missing something here. The pills are supposed to keep you from waking up during asphyxiation but that seems unrealistic. I don't think I'd be able to stay asleep, and I think my body would fight it and tear the bag in my sleep. Any thoughts or advice on successful self-exit without inert gases? Appreciate any advice.

That's what happens. People don't necessarily wake up but they will scratch or rip a hole in the bag whilst asleep. Perhaps (more than likely) semi consciously. If you were to come round without brain damage later on it would still be something you forget doing because of the amnesic effects of sleepers like benzos and Z drugs. Seems the more hypnotic they are the amnesia occurs.

The issue 'without inert gas' is CO2 will build up inside the makeshift atmosphere around your head.

To me this sounds very painful, and like you've read even when someone is unconscious they're going to try and rid themselves of a rich CO2 atmosphere. I know some people have suggested securing your hands so that is not possible but I assume that would lead to more complications.

I've tried it. It's painful as fuck.

I did write a tutorial on it years ago
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/tourniquet-method-variation-ii-knots-bag.11563/

The bag should be something that's resistant enough to pointy objects
(it will be filled up with air when you're unconscious, like a balloon, and during the convulsions
if your bag touches something sharp that might make a hole in it, waking you up with brain damage)

Maybe you should tie your hands too,
they also move when you're unconscious,
might scratch the bag

I recommend these bags that are waterproof, don't know what they're called

Overboard dry tube bag 20l 1 324x300
Just make sure air can't pass through it
(it's just an idea, I haven't actually tried them, maybe use them with a plastic bag at the same time)

Thanks for the resource. Did you try it with a large or small plastic bag? I'm hoping to use a large bag and to be in deep sleep by the time O2 runs out.
