Exit bag: I'm pretty much set up

I'm using pure argon. Dad took me to a welders supply shop yesterday to find a hose that fits the regulator and I made up some bullshit excuse that it's for a project.the shopkeeper asked so many Goddamn questions because I'm a young woman so it's a bit odd I suppose. I've never acted and lied so well in my life.


I have a question though, will it be fine to tie (or thread) the hose into my headband if I tie my hair up, instead of taping it to the bag? Any suggestions and reminders are welcome.

Edit: this might be a stupid question but does anyone have any advice on i can soften the blow for my Dad? What can i write, say or do? I'm not that close with my Dad but he is a sweet guy

You know this is the toughest dilemma i'm facing right now.. i wasn't planning to but things changed after he unknowingly helped me. I guess i owe it to him to explain how i would've found a way either way. The guilt is starting to eat me up actually, i wish i just went alone. I feel like a heartless bitch

Honestly..I don't think there's anything that softens the blow. I really hope you considered other options, but if you're really sure about your choice i hope you will go in peace

Have you tried anti-depressants? They can lift one's mood substantially.

I don't know how such a blow can be softened significantly. Tell him how much you love him and how much happiness he brought you.

I haven't but I'm not sure they'll work in my case. I actually have body dysmorphia and a serious case of perfectionism, it's destroyed my life and I have been dealing with it for a decade. I can never win

Yes. Plenty of companies sell inert gas, i bought it online; just search up inert gas UK on google. I went with Gas UK. I went to my local welding supply store to buy the hose since i couldn't find one that fit's the regulator+flow meter (that i bought off ebay). Total cost was around £230 i believe

Sorry I'm a bit late to this... Your setup looks similar to mine. I built mine from a book I can highly recommend (and cited in the Wiki) called Five Last Acts – The Exit Path (2015 edition): The arts and science of rational suicide in the face of unbearable, unrelievable suffering 2nd Edition by Chris Docker. He spends 124 pages on the chapter "Helium & inert gas" and it is very well written.

I'd be interested in hearing where you got your instructions...?

Is your hose/tube long enough (it looks kinda short in the pic)? With inert gasses, it's possible for there to be some minor bodily tremors/shaking after unconsciousness (really the only disadvantage I see of the method). You don't want the hose to come loose at either end... so make sure everything is secure and, e.g., your bottle can't get knocked over.

I think the key thing is that the hose/tube is ~high up in the bag and secure. If it were to fall down during the process, that would not be ideal. Can you make sure it'll stay secure attached to your hair?

Also, it's best to squeeze all the regular air out of the bag and strongly exhale: At the beginning, you want to try to get much of the oxygen & carbon dioxide out of the bag/your lungs that you can (makes it quicker & more comfortable).

Is your flowmeter calibrated to Argon? What flow rate (center of the ball) do you intend to use?

I would really make sure u find some anxiety meds u will need it. Yea u have to make sure u secure the hose somehow I ran into that issue. I forgot what happened when I experimented before. My only concern with this method was ripping the bag of my head after I go into panic as I lose oxygen.That's why I say maybe some Xanax or clonazepam.

I'm new here, so I'm sure there are good instructions here on inert gasses (just don't know where yet). I've been really happy with the book I recommended above. He really lays-out and analyzes the many options.

It is important to learn about the gases if you are to use them. Sadly, you can't be lazy if you want to be successful. Overall, gases are hard to control and contain. The rate of releasing the gas is also important. I recommend digging ... and reading ... thoroughly.

@4eyebiped is absolutely right about this! It's not too hard, one just has to research and consider it well.
