Start with getting used to fast for 4 hours, then 5, then 6, etc...
You'll be able to hang on for 8 hours sooner or later. What about the time you sleep? I bet you can fast like 6 hours there! Unless you have problems for sleeping like me.

Sleeping I can fast up to 12 hours... yeah I sleep a lot. But I'd rather ctb at night, not in the morning, but I guess I don't have other option.

Just do it who cares if you feel hungry, its a small pain compare to what people do to kill themselves aka jump a building

Other than building up your fasting times, you should eliminate every food source that may break your fast

Try sleeping or lie on bed all day.
There were days that I'm not even suicidal, just depressed and I don't eat a thing in 24 hrs.
