Does anyone lack energy too attempt to ctb. I do. I've tried a few times before and messed up. My only way is partial hanging in woods. I'd try at home but don't want family having a dead body in the house. What a way too live. Planning a horrific act. Should be legal and peaceful to ctb.

Just fyi a former prison guard on this site saw some partial hanging suicides in prison- they were all in a seated position with the knot behind their neck. This former guard, who saw exactly how this was done- in person- then tried to do this themselves and it didn't work- in fact this former guard tried 25 times and still hasn't gotten it right. However, another recent poster said that partial left marks on their neck and as a result they were put in a psych ward for ten days. So partial is very unreliable and can cause lots of other problems.

Partial is unreliable because you can just stand up at any time. If you are determined enough it will work. The trick I found was to go completely limp and drop into the noose with your full body weight. I started fading out within seconds. But I panicked and pulled myself up.

Partial is a good method when done right. Full is better but harder to pull off. Best is probably N.

when i tried partial i fully passed out multiple times within a few seconds. i stood up while unconscious, it was SI, no amount of determination could have stopped that from happening

Full is much more reliable but is also much scarier, because you don't know how long you will be conscious or semi-conscious and this could be a very traumatic experience. Full is a method I consider due to reliability but it is also so terrifying that it cannot be a first choice for me at all.

Imma be honest I have seen so much discouragement from you like we are worried af about doing this notice how none of us want anything but an easy peaceful way to go constantly saying shit like this just feel like youre trying to scare people into not doing it. I understand cation and warnings but all your shit seems antidotal like its all from 3rd party experiences or things you've read somewhere. I don't understand why be on these threads to cast even more doubt into someones mind when they are already clearly in a vulnerable state. I just don't get it and it comes off as so negative towards people who are looking for a better way

Sorry that's not my intent. It's just that some people attempt partial and then they end up in a psych ward for ten days and you can lose a job over this and then find it tough to get another, etc. I know for me when I attempt to ctb I want it to work the first time. But I'll stop posting so much about things like this and let people find out for themselves- I have been just trying to spare people the bad consequences of s failed attempt, but I'll just avoid posting about this if that's how people see it. Partial almost never works but I'll stop posting about this and let people find out for themselves.

Exactly. When you're hating life this much it's extremely hard to motivate to CTB. Or do anything really other than sleep.

Wow... Anyone who hangs themself is brave and has balls of steel in my eyes, whether they're dead or not. I could never. Thank God for SN. Sometimes I wonder if a method like SN, which lowers the "barrier of entry" for suicide is actually a good thing. Should we have to go through something strenuous to enact suicide? Probably not, but sometimes I feel like I'm cheating death in a way by getting it so easily. I'm sorry you're struggling OP, hanging is a very arduous method in of itself; it's not the only one.

I don't think there's anything wrong with warning and educating people. People have to use the spirit of discernment on the internet anyway.

Suicide is very difficult as we are programmed to survive. We want to die but it goes against our instinct to survive. I believe a certain mental state is needed to go through with ctb, in my case I believe I will reach a point of desperation where I cannot take anymore of this life. There is also the chance of failure. If ctb was easier, I would already be gone. Of course we all deserve a peaceful exit at a time of our own choosing, it is cruel how we are denied this.
