Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i started working around the end of may as a prep cook, and saying "prep cook" is a mass exaggeration. i chopped vegtables for a salad chain. and it payed like shit. at the start of july they just stopped scheduling me and i havent heard a word from them. this was right after probably my worst shift yet, i was fucking up a ton and i guess they must've thought i wasnt cut out for it. im moving out of my parents house at the start of august, and im filling out applications to my landlord and i have to give the contact for my employer, the only issue is im pretty sure im not employed. they never fired me so i have no idea where I stand. i dont even have my managers email to give and im too afraid to reach out and ask because i dont think she likes me after that shift. im in a really bad spot and it feels like my life is spiralling really fast. i gotta get a job fast, but no one is replying to my emails. my friends seem to have it so easy when it comes to jobs, no one seems to wanna reply to my applications. its a hard economy right now i suppose.

the economy sucks so bad right now, it feels like we're in a recession. and job applications are screened by ai so they never get seen by a real person. most of my friends are unemployed or underemployed, it's really bad right now.

my unsolicited advice is to try temp agencies asap, some of my friends got jobs through temp agencies.

also drive around town and see if there are any "help wanted" or "now hiring" signs. in my area, the local post office, senior living facilities, and some retail stores are hiring with no prior experience required.

also i know it's kind of embarrassing but tell everyone you know that you're looking for work, maybe they know someone who is hiring.

if the new apartment falls through, could you crash at a friend's place?

good luck, i really hope a job comes through for you soon
