There might be a way to send some sort of current into the brain so that a painless death would follow. Another option is to use the same drug that is used to make people unconscious when they get surgery and have someone detach the brain stem while they are unconscious.

The electric chair doesn't look like a fun way to die.

Remember, electricity follows the path of least resistance, and that may at times be difficult to predict accurately or control in a way that you may be certain of the outcome, especially if you are not very well versed in the subject.

I also don't expect making toast while in the tub would contribute to an enjoyable breakfast

Also consider that Electroconvulsive therapy aims to deliver current as directly to the brain as possible, with a non-lethal current. That already strikes me as an unpleasant experience, and increasing current or voltage may just increase the level of pain before resulting in a lethal outcome.

Also, in ECT, you have someone controlling the contacts, which you would have more difficulty doing if you are convulsing from experiencing shock

I am speaking of a more advanced precise method which would lead to a painless death. I do not know if it exists.
