It reduces the heart rate and blood pressure. Maybe it works combined with alcohol and benzos if the dose is high enough.
Propranolol also reduces the heart rate. Would be interesting to find out if this combination would work. I wouldnĀ“t even know where to get GHB.

Taking enough GHB can certainly cause you to CTB. I have often considered this method, your so out of it, would likely be peaceful.
Mixing with other downers would certainly help though, vast majority of accidental deaths from GHB are from mixing it with booze and other downers.
Hard to know the exact dose though since its usually in liquid form whereas all studies of lethal dose will report it in grams.
If you have no tolerance 10-15ml should get you on your way if you mix some booze in there.
Fail and the worst you'll have is a hangover. (from the booze that is, GHB gives no hangover)
GHB is naturally present in your brain already, it regulates several brain functions.How about GHB+booze+oxys+benzos? Or is it an overkill? Trying to replicate N here.
