Anyone from the Metro Vancouver area up for CTB'ing by a self-inflicted gunshot at some firing range? I can't find any of these places that would accept lone shooters, otherwise I'd have preferred doing it by myself.

I'm from the USA, we have similar laws here at some gun ranges. If you can't find someone to ctb with you then maybe just pretend like you want to try shooting by joining a hobbyist club or something, unless this violates your moral code. You could have someone go with you as a friend and then you ctb, the other person will not expect it.

I feel like a complete idiot for not having thought of that before.

Although the friend one I wouldn't be able to put in practice, I guess.

Why not? Join a club, take some classes, get good at it first, and then go with a friend or "friend" you have made from the club if and when you actually plan to ctb. You don't have to do it all on the same day, unless money is an issue (which I get, it might be). Also, here in the US the restriction on not going by yourself only applies if you're renting a gun and don't already own one. Idk if that's the same in Canada but if it is then it's soooo much easier to just buy a gun, learn how to use it, then ctb in the comfort of your home when the time is right.
