I was told similar things growing up. Teachers would home in on weed specifically, which I always found strange because it's harmless compared to some of the other drugs out there.

Weed and LSD is good for being high, Benzos too feel normal and drinking for coping

I remember growing up people would always go on and on about the danger of strangers offering you drugs
