• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Poets of SS, does it help you to write down your feelings through poetry in a descriptive manner? I know it sure does help me rather than speaking to people who only tell me what they think is better or what helps them in certain situations, and it's not like my paper and pen can admit me into a hospital like they can

It did, in yrs gone by, but alas, the words dried up and faded and what was became no more. I have returned many times to previous workings to try and find ways to improve them, but I could not change something that was a reflection of emotions deep and personal at that moment in time.

I wouldn't call myself a poet, and it doesn't really help my situation whatsoever. But it is a way to pass the time and get pent up distress out on paper (in my case, my iPhone notes.)

Indeed. Here're a couple of scrappy ones that people here may get.

Outro.

Once there's nothing more to teach
When comfort edges out of reach
And power ebbs, dissolved from speech
You know its time to go.

Pillars crumble, marbles crack
Knuckles seize and mind retracts
to void; embrace the direful black
And know its time to go.

Love quits early, then goes grief
Function, pain and self belief
Anger is the last to leave
Before its time to go.

Now defenceless to the haul
Of sweet oblivion's shrinking walls
No room for knowledge, learning palls
Once known its time to go.

Behold the cylinder of light
Feel twitch and piss and self's own might;
Releasing soul to final flight
And now its time to go.

Take The Bell

As we took the bell
its breath was upon my neck
freezing despite the afternoon sun.
All bodily pulses synchronising
creating internal sound
becoming internal words
via the media of language, experience, knowledge and fate
distilled to rhythmic gutteral utterance.
Hud-da-hu-duhs
fud-da-fu-tuhs
fu-ka-hu-kas
fuk-the-fuk-ers
gigo epilogue
duck for the rope and lose.
