Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

On the long list of things I'm traumatised by is the census. It's coming up in my country and I tried to fill it out it today because it's illegal not to. I failed miserably and ended up having a total meltdown and spending most of the day in bed. It leaked out into me typing unnecessarily urgent messages to my house mates in a chat group and looking stupid. It's the lack of control and the lack of privacy and typing in sad metrics about my life and past addresses where bad things happened and remembering how life could have been if those bad things didn't happen and probably other things that I don't even understand that destroy me. It's like a gauntlet of triggers. Does anyone else have this or is it just a peculiarity of me?

I hope they don't see it that way. Sometimes worries add up so much you just can't keep them in anymore. With enough communication, it shouldn't be a big deal.

I wouldn't say the census traumatises me but it does cause me substantial anxiety. I'm sorry its such a stressful time for you! Do you have someone who could provide emotional support while you fill it in? I usually fill it in in small chunks with time in between to soothe my anxiety (listen to some music, play a game, have a smoke, etc). Just so its not one massive, overwhelming task.

Thanks for saying so, both of you. I will get through the census. Appreciate your responses :)
