You should at least still be able to find it on the black market. Go ask around in a bar or strip club.

You have a sick dog and want to be the one to give it the shot. Nothing suspicious about that. If you think about it, if this were a real scenario, your dog would be most comfortable at home with its owner. Sure, it would be very tough, but that would give a pet the most peaceful end possible.

If you're going with this story, you have to ask for Dolethal or Euthasol (400mg/ml - blue liquid).

Not necessarily. This is not an option in the US. No vet will give you Dolethal or Euthasol.

Because just like all doctors in the US, vets are greedy bastards and want to charge you for euthanizing your animal, instead of just for the medicine.
