Help Does cutting actually kill you?

To reach an artery requires very deep cuts and a decent understanding of anatomy. Even arterial blood clots unless the cuts are very big and you'll probably survive with permanent tendon damage.

SI is a bitch to deal with even with alcohol and blood thinners sitting in the shower. You just pass out and wake up so weak you crawl to call for help. Don't recommend this method. Also painful as fuck I can't emphasise that enough it fucking HURTS BAD - completely different from just cutting yourself for relief.

It can, but you have to cut deep enough that you get an artery, which can be difficult. Cutting an artery won't kill you quickly either, you have to bleed out which can take a little while (I'm not exactly sure how long) and you have to not panic and call for help. I tried it several times and haven't been able to succeed, so imo at least it's pretty difficult. Plus if you're not careful you can become addicted to cutting like I did, and it's harder to hide it when you're addicted to it (at least it was for me).

unfortunately this is only 3-5% of it actually killing you, i really don't recommend this method, plus it is also painful.

well there goes my plan. What if you just did one really strong cut to the neck? With something that is like scalpel sharp? I thought the skin above your jugular and carotid artery was like extremely thin.

most methods of suicide are really unreliable unfortunately. the only consistent ones are N, nitrogen/other gases and SN. even something like jumping has a risk of failing. everything else has a pretty wide margin for failure.

the media has a pretty poor representation of suicide methods. even something like overdosing has a very low chance of working, especially with otc meds. the only ones that have a decent chance of killing you afaik is fentanyl and some other opioids but i may be wrong.

i hope you find a peaceful and reliable method of ctbing which is accessible for you :)

Anyone ever considered using a power tool to cut something like your femoral artery? I know SI can be a barrier but if you have something to suppress that but still keep your strength to just take a good power saw to your thigh… severing the femoral can cause you to bleed out in seconds to max a couple minutes from what I've read. It also seems that the femoral might be easier to access than jugular/cartoid.

Any thoughts?

I can't for the life of me, locate my femoral artery. I can feel my carotids no problem, but the ones on the leg (femoral), not a chance. With a power tool it would probably be somewhat easy if you manage to suppress the fear. I would actually go for the neck if I had a chainsaw.

Or maybe, a more painful approach, I would cut as many VEINS as I can on my body, then try to cut the ARTERIES. Nobody is surviving that.

If you cut your ascending aorta, you'll be gone. The bigger the vessel, the better the chances. Otherwise it's crap shoot.
