Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I'm feeling quite lonely, and isolated from everyone irl around me a the moment. Was wondering if anyone wanted to just chat. About feelings, about what brought us here, about thoughts about ctb, anything honestly. It would be nice to hear some outside perspective as well as get to know some people here better.

Unsure if I'm able to initiate PMs, willing to chat with literally anyone right now though. Finding friends when isolated is really rough, starting to feel like it's not worth putting in the effort anymore when it comes to meeting people anywhere else but the internet. Only comfort I find is among the few online friends I have and by reading the posts of others on here.
I'm really bad at reaching out to new people, but the company of others makes me feel better. I hope I can do the same for anyone else.

For the lower-class masses, the pressure of studying is immense. My middle school was like this: waking up at 6 a.m. and coming home at 6 p.m. In high school, I woke up at 6 a.m. and got home around 10 p.m. The biggest issue is that I wasn't even the worst off—there were people suffering even more than I was.

People around me are like this. Some can't hold on anymore and jump off buildings, and then we get a little bit of a break. The people above us also get scared. China's censorship is very strict, and a lot of information can't be posted on social media or can't be spread on a large scale.

And now I realize that this entire education system has destroyed my future, destroyed my soul. I got into university, but I can't bear it anymore. I don't want to continue university, and I've had conflicts with my parents. Even though they've made many compromises now, the harm it caused me in between is irreversible.

I only know that if you speak badly about the government, you will definitely be taken away by the police. As for the consequences, I'm not sure, but if your influence isn't that big and you're just an ordinary citizen, they probably won't do anything to you. On one hand, many police officers come from ordinary backgrounds themselves; on the other hand, ordinary citizens don't have much influence. From what I understand, the worst that might happen is being called in by the police for a "chat."
