I absolutely hate life and the only time when it doesn't suck is when I'm drunk or high on codeine, nicotine. My parents are against drug use which suck so I have to abide by their rules.

I'm sorry that your parents are keeping you from your way of coping.. my escape is smoking marijuana I'm almost always stoned.. it keeps me numb to am extent. At least numb enough to go through another day.

I wish! Drugs don't effect me like they used to, the high isn't as good and the side effects are felt more. I think i fried too many serotonin transporters during my heavy drug taking days years ago. I'm nearly always sober now and it's boring.

I used to be stoned constantly.
Now if I take more than two hits I get super paranoid and scared and my thoughts feel like they're eating my brain. Which sucks cuz I used to smoke for years to feel... Normal.
I used to drink heavily too but my health has been so bad and I live with an ex alcoholic so drinking again would bring our demise...
Much more so than my own causes..

Inadvertently get high trying to mix painkillers to get pain to go away. Not too keen on the high at all from them - weed is my panacea!

Echo, echo of what others have said. Pot no longer brings a pleasant high -- mostly hyper-awareness of body pains and paranoid thoughts. Drinking only makes me sleepy. Mushrooms don't affect me much because of my Rx. My go-to is getting in cold water and aligning with the sun.
I'd love to have more longer-acting relief. My doc thinks Wellbutrin will help. Not sure it will but am willing to try.

Cocaine and alcohol. Always waiting for the weekend so I can spend it drunk and high. The only way to feel normal or okay anymore, really. MDMA stopped working and only makes me anxious now, and my ex made it impossible for me to get morphine, so I can't go back on that.

I've been addicted on alcohol since i was child, later i discovered marijuana, now those two are my substances of reducing my anxiety and racing thoughts, it helps in fact, also has negative effects, health which i don't care. Only side effect is paranoia and increased anxiety but it feels much different than my sober brain, high that i get is worth for me.

Unfortunately, that's not how the mechanisms of alcohol work.
Maybe someday we'll have neural interfacing chips that allow that kind of possibility. Probably not in my conceivable lifetime though.

yes, yes, infinite times yes. it feels like the only time i can get any fucking respite is when i'm out of my head off of smth. my parents are like urs--i tend 2 wait an hour or so after their bedtime n play drug combo till i pass out. i hate the feeling of dependency that comes w this kind of mindset, tho. like, fuck, i need x or y or z 2 feel any kind of good cuz i can't do that shit myself

I've been drinking pretty much every single day. I got alcohol poisoning a few days ago and my only regret is that I'm physically rejecting alcohol and can't get drunk until the notion of drinking doesn't make me throw up more

absolutely, I never feel as though the body I'm in is comfortable, and my mind never helps much to make me feel more human. Usually sleeping pills work well to get me fucked up, and I've taken to smoking more. I used to use codeine fairly often on top of alcohol, but I don't have access to either of those now. I wish I could be plastered all day.

I smoke weed for insomnia, helps with everything else at night. Everything peaks in the morning, and at night. I don't smoke during the day. Usually just like joint. Enough to feel good, and get sleepy.
No, I don't take any drugs or drink alcohol. I don't like how they make me feel afterwards. Exercise is my drug these days.

Definitely. Anything that helps escape reality is what I want. Drinking, benzos, weed, molly, coke. I also binge eat to an extreme extent. The only issue is living with my parents. I hate for them to notice how messed up I am.

Same for me, I drink and do numerous drugs ( alcohol, cigs, weed, meth, Molly, Cid, shrooms, variety of pills) as often as I can to escape this world / my sick mind. Dangerous, careless, deadly... Yeah, I suppose so but they are actually keeping me Alive to cope/ deal with another day on earth.

My poison is codiene and smoking. I feel it helps me keep my depression & suicidal thoughts in control.. But now during lockdown its becoming difficult to get it as u can't step out and my stock is over. Each day seems like a drag and m getting more depressed by the day ..
