Help Do you think a person would 100% ctb if they tried this method?..

Say someone lives next to a volcano, would the person CTB really fast if they run into it and as soon as they jump they grab their gun and shoot themselves in the head, would that guarantee definite death?

Maybe i am just low iq but after reading what you wrote I can't see how they would survive... Maybe i am wrong in assuming there is just lava and rocks inside the volcano? Wouldn't the heat alone guarantee body destruction and death not to mention the bullet that would be triggered to the head? :/ :/ :/

But it is possible that they will land on rocks and survive. Volcano crater is rarely fully covered in lava. And I believe shooting yourself while jumping is tricky.
So to sum it up, maybe taking cyanide is not a bad idea after all...

I would imagine that jumping into an active volcano would be very difficult due to heat and fumes as you approached the rim. If you did manage to do it, I would imagine the shooting to be redundant.

But your idea did seem mocking if I'm honest. You say you're serious, I believe you. I don't think you're dumb, you're just looking for a sure-fire method.

You could stand on a stool, put your head in a noose then shoot yourself. Equally effective and a lot easier than travelling to a volcano. Or stand at the edge of a tall cliff then shoot yourself.

Then shoot themselves in the head, so the other hand releases its grip and sets off the charge.

That way if the gunshot doesn't kill them, they will 100% fall off the cliff as the ground beneath their feet will fall.

For extra certainty they could tie a rope to a tree, set back from the edge, and put the rope round their neck.

Might be a very slight overkill but guaranteed to succeed.

If I had a gun, I'd forget the volcano and study the megathread about using firearms. Then if I still wanted to failsafe the method, a noose is probably the best option, as @I'mDone suggested in their first post.

If you are uncertain, you can just stand at the edge of the volcano, with your back to it and shoot yourself in the head. you'll fall down backwards and it is very unlikely that you will survive.

i'm assuming you're intent is to want to have been dead prior to jumping into the volcano so you don't experience any further pain, and i'm assuming it also helps in the case where you're body is harder to find and you "disappear" in a sense

i do feel sympathize for you and you're method in a way. i've always thought of just getting a boat and going out deep into the ocean, and just shooting myself in the head, and falling overboard pre-planned so my body just falls into the depths of the ocean and is never found. so i definitely understand you wanting to jump into the volcano after death, as a person who doesn't want their body found.

everyone has their own choice of method and we shouldn't feel the need to assume and measure the seriousness of another persons suicidal ideation; we don't know eachother on this forum well-enough to assume and judge just like that and it isn't fair to OP. criticizing and judging another persons method in a negative manner further derails the thread and it also prevents positive interaction and discussion amongst the thread and forum in general and again and IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

to each their own, i definitely respect you're decision and method, as there's also plenty of other methods you can look into as well if you're not confident and that maybe more suitable for you, but that's for you to judge.

Yes that is 100% fail proof way. I think that filling small space with at least 13000ppm (it would still stay about 10000ppm after going in) and going fast in holding breath and closing the door/doorway would be fail proof and 100% painless. Even more so if the generator is left on in it.
