This, definitely this. To even obtain it is a rarity in and of itself. Keeping it is nearly impossible.

I know enough people in supportive relationships that I can't deny romantic love exists and I have some friends who can certainly say I have platonic love for. I don't think I am built right for anyone to romantically love me however.

I don't. I talked about why in the limerence thread, but mainly I think that love is a feeling we experience, it's just not any more meaningful than loving an object like drugs or food. Even the sacrifices we make are guided by the 'spell' these things cast on our feelings, in a biological sense. We love people for how they make us feel, and it couldn't really be any other way, but that's fine. It's just not special or beautiful enough to match up to how I used to think of it.

Although it's a little hard for me to truly understand love at times, as I never had anyone in my life when it comes to that, I would say yes, there are times I like to believe in it a lot. Just look at the night sky or moon and wonder what it's like to have a connection and what it's like for people that do actually have it.
If I do not believe in it for myself, at least I believe in it for other people. :)
And the reason behind that is that sometimes it can save a person, not just a person wanting to CTB but a person that simply needs someone to rely and lean on.
Love can be a strange thing, but I like to believe that in the end, it can be one that is worth fighting for.

Anyway, I know it sounds a little strange that I wrote that, considering I never really had a person like that and I am the least informed person to teach others about it, but yes, I would say yes. ^_^

Now I want to listen to What is love again from Haddaway, such a catchy song.
As they sing in it, it can both be painful and a worth it at the same time. :)

I think the kind of love a lot of people are hoping for doesn't exist. Love is just a set of feelings towards another person and it doesn't come with a lot of guarantees.

I'm capable of love... I fall in love all the time. I feel like I know better now how to love someone than I ever did before. I've got a heart full of love for anyone who wants it.

I don't believe in "love" in the sense of romance, especially not like the way it is portrayed in movies, film, and literature. Objectively speaking, I think it is just chemicals in the mind that produce such a feeling, with the base being lust. I do believe that almost all humans form relationships to get something out of another person.
