Do you feel like you need to clean before you ctb or do you not care?

I feel like i kind of have to because then not only would my family have to deal with my death, they would have to clean up my hell hole of a room.

I think I would. But also doesn't matter that much. I want to make things a little easier for family and friends. But realistically I don't think they would really care much about that. Do whatever feels best for you op.

I haven't done a deep clean or anything but I've gone round and just generally tidying the place and done a little with the garden.

Yes, erase everything that needs to be erased, return some stuff with a message to someone who loved me, clean room, write a note just to make it clear its on purpose but no detailed explanation and that's a wrap.

Maybe a planned email? You could address it to someone close to you. Or animal services. Sounds like you plan on not being found immediately.

Yeah I had thought of that but I really don't want an email to go out if I back out. It's so tricky. I'm thinking of leaving a big note on my car windscreen and parking it near where I'm at but not near enough so I can be found before I've done it.

Yeah that's what I'm praying, I love my dog so much the guilt is killing me, I'd never put her in jeopardy ever. I want her to be okay no matter what happens to me.

I try to keep my surroundings clean and tidy anyway (unless I am at my lowest). Actually I intend to cover the bed in dust sheets before I die on it. Then they can just wrap me up and take me away haha

I mean, it doesn't really matter that much I don't think, but I gave away a ton of clothes, DVDs, PS2 games and books to charity the other day.

I plan on chucking most of my stuff out and just leaving some photos in a digital album on my computer along with a few small bits.

Literally the only reason I haven't ctb'd is I need a chance to go to old place and go through stuff. I have too much pride, I don't need people going through my old shit.

in terms of cleaning cleaning, I'll keep tidy but that's all. I'll be either in a hotel or air bnb (with a FAT check or cash payment or tip to the owner because I do feel bad it affects property value or anythjng)

I also don't feel like writing a detailed explanation, I mean, my family knows my struggle, they just don't take it seriously. I also want to do something like that, a note just to clarify it was on purpose, not necessarily a reason why.

The ramblings of a depressed mind make no sense to normal functioning individuals. I would also have to point fingers and talk about shitty parents and create more pain than they already are going to deal with. And it's also so cliché and boring. Embarrassing too.

Idk dude, I'm gonna blow all I have on a couple good days for once, and literally everything left will go to the place I choose. If I can do a grand I will. But how to give it to them without it being collected by cops, not sure.

If it's somewhere that the business isn't effected or something I'd probably try to leave 1k minimum, because they may need to hire biohazard teams as protocol, and that's super costly. If the business will be effected, I don't even know an amount, honestly.

Most probably wouldn't leave a dime, though.

I don't understand. Would your dog be at a different address with a lot of water and food? I don't think putting out a ton of food is good for your dog...Neither is the isolation of being alone. I really strongly encourage you to seek homes for your dog. Post on the sub on Reddit for your town. Explain how urgent the situation is. Post on Craigslist. Try and find someone. OR take pup to the vet and euthanize. Being alone...then put into a cage with other unhappy dogs is not a good future for her/him. If your dog is a certain breed perhaps there is a rescue for them (one of my dogs was picked up by one...in the US).

I don't understand what you mean by your dog having food/water for a week? Will your body be there? I've seen really gross pictures of dogs eating their owners faces etc...it causes them a lot of anxiety....

PLEASE figure out somewhere for your dog to go that is a good home or really consider euthanizing her/him. If you don't enjoy life what's to say your dog does either?

It depends on the person, their circumstances, and reason. For me it's important to leave a note and I'm taking it a step further by writing "future" emails. (I'm literally drafting the four future emails at this very moment).

It will probably be a fuck up and all my predictions will be wrong but c'est la vie.

Hi all newbie here
Such an apt topic as I'm amidst doing this right now. But I started to pack my house up into large moving boxes which I shall label and I'm also trying to sort out a storage unit so my family can decide what to do with the rest of the boxes things..
My sister died eleven days ago due to health complications and it is a painful process to pack up her house and kind of traumatic for me and I just decided that it would leave me feeling bad for them to have to clean out a second house.
Some stuff I'm trying to sell beforehand and I'll leave that money for someone. Others I'll take to charity shops if they want them.

I've considered several times to clean everything to the best of my abilities - but I tend to remember what little I have, no one would even bother picking up in the first place. So for my own sake I would, but I don't know.
