I haven't been here long, but I am grateful for this community. I feel a sense of understanding here that you can't normally find, along with empathy and compassion. <3

Yes Even though I haven't made close relationships I like seeing when some people post or reply to others and I get a sense of what type of person they are. I like when I can offer something of value from time to time even if it's just mild affirmation.

Definitely yes. This feels like the only place I belong in as I can see others who are suffering like me and I can freely vent here and share my opinions on life, death and suicide. I also feel like I provide some value in taking part in discussions or giving comfort to people who are venting or giving advice on ctb methods. Honestly my self esteem has increased from interacting with this site.

I've seen people before say this site has made them effectively less suicidal because it gives them some control over their destiny and/or a sense of community or understanding. I feel this has been true for me. Even though I don't visit much I generally get good vibes checking in and the advice I've found has helped me feel power over my life. When I'm low it's good to know I have a lifeline, or, deathline, hehe

i don't really know people here well besides a few familiar accounts from when i joined initially during the summer. i feel connection more than community per se.
