Discussion Do you ever dream about things you want but, even in the dream, you don't do them?

[Forever Sleep]

Last night, I dreamt I was looking over some rocks into a crystal clear sea full of fish. When I was young, I went snorkling with my Dad. Nowhere really exotic like a coral reef but, it was still amazing. So- I was thrilled last night that I might get another chance to snorkle virtually. I'm too fat and poor for the real life version now. But, the people I was with wanted to go shopping. Then, they wanted to get something to eat so, I never got to do it.

Don't you find that odd about dreams? That we don't get more control and just dream what we want? Nightmares are even weirder. Why do we torment ourselves? I suppose because they're not entirely conscious.

Oh well, at least I got to see the fish from above I suppose. I've had much worse dreams.

Have you had any nice near misses in dreams?

I had various dreams of things I wanted, but then it meshed with other irregular and unrelated events so it all became jumbled and scrambled that I am unable to logically go from point A to point B. Then I've also just woken up and felt really disappointed, especially over the fact that I didn't get to fulfill what I wanted. Even in the seldom chance I did, when I woke up, reality hits me hard and I realized it was all 'fiction'.
