I don't think there's any particular rule of thumb around this issue. For many people in this age bracket, there might be a higher value placed on financial security or maturity of personality.

I believe for women, the age of the men they tend to like are typically within their age range or with a little bit of deviation (one or two years younger/older). Of course there are outliers, but that's the average I'm aware of.
