I struggle with speaking up for my needs. Due to not having anyone speak on my behalf when I was younger and generally feeling like shit (as I still do now) I feel burdensome asking people for favors. That they will shame me for speaking up in the first place.
I wanted to ask some questions to the hotel staff. If they could help with taking out trash, doing laundry, and if they had any information about housing. After contemplating on what to do I received a knock on the door. I opened it to find one of the staff asking if I wanted dinner. I declined. After a few seconds I managed to ask if I could have my trash replaced. They said yes and helped me clean out my trash. They also answered my questions regarding laundry and housing (they didnt offer assistance for either). Laundry I am fine with, though the housing is something I am interested in. Being that ill be going back home after my COVID hotel stay I do want to look into independence. Maybe I could ask again tomorrow/later.
