• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I ran across a diamondback snake while hiking today. I held out my hand and took a couple steps towards it, but the little guy slinked away. Just my luck really.

Nah mate. It thins the blood I think and can necrotize flesh. Compartment syndrome, heart problems, it's a fun adventure.

Wow...that's brutal. Kinda metal, but I couldn't go out like that.

I've only seen one, a timber rattler, but if I wanted to ctb by snake for some odd reason, it would of surely allowed it. It just curled up shaking its tail while facing me until I left(quickly). I was like a foot from stepping on it when going in a rock cave, maybe thats why it wasn't happy, or just one with shitty temperament. who knows. Snakes generally only want run away from you safely.

Snakes are just self-preservationsists when it comes to people. Imagine a big giant coming along who would otherwise stomp you or eat you. Yeah, I'd be a scared snek too.

What were you doing when you ran across this snake?

We were in a state park just climbing through the rocks and caves the huge rocks made at least 10 years ago. He seemed to be doing his evening sunning or digesting something.
