CTB, 'The Royal Tenenbaums' + Elliot Smith

SPOILERS FOR 'THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS'

Not sure you need spoilers for a 20 year old film, but anyway err on the side of caution.

In the movie 'The Royal Tenenbaums' one of the characters unsuccessfully attempts to CTB while an Elliot Smith song is playing ('Needle In The Hay'). 2 years later Smith was found dead with what was reported as a suicide, but could've been a homicide; stabbing through the heart. From wikipedia 'There were no hesitation wounds, which are typically found on a victim of suicide by self-infliction.' Yeah I have no real point here.......

Woah I didn't realize that is how Elliot Smith died. I will look this up. I feel like stabbing through the heart is unlikely to be self inflicted. I don't know much about that stuff but I imagine to do that to yourself would be really difficult.
