CTB by insulin?

I haven't seen much discussion about this method so I was wondering if anyone knows about how reliable this method is?

I live in the USA, and some older, short-acting insulin such as Novolin R do not require a prescription to purchase. I do not have diabetes so I should not have insulin resistance. How much insulin would I need to inject for it to be fatal? I am honestly fine with being brain-dead or a vegetable because it would not be too different from being clinically death imo, but I do not want to wake up.

Please let me know if this method is reliable for my case, or if it's completely stupid.

I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about how deadly short-acting insulin specifically is on a healthy person.

From what I've read it isn't, I'm sure others will chime in to say the same. Is there any particular reason why viable methods aren't of interest to you?

I did plan to shoot myself in the head with a rifle, but I was hoping to find something a little less violent because I do not wish to traumatize the people who find me.

I have a fear of vomiting so it's hard for me to use any chemical salts knowing what I will be ingesting because of an intrinsic fear (It's also hard to acquire compared to guns and insulin).

Hanging is also hard for me because of SI.

My cousin tried it some years ago because his friend who is a doctor said jokingly that it's a painless way
She tried it , went to sleep but woke up really really hungry and she moved purely by her survival instinct, crawled to the fridge and devoured everything in her fridge , so it's not really working

Thank you so much for sharing. I hate how resilient our bodies are when it comes to something like this. I'll have to search for more reliable methods.

A psychiatrist told me the other day that she had a patient that died from insulin so I dunno.

I didn't ask much bc I was tryna get the fuck outta pysch ward.

I dunno if that person had diabetes or not but they seemed concerned I would use insulin to ctb. Soooo im not sure.

Most posts I've seen on here it seems like a non-method or doesn't work.


But im not too sure. I would needa do more research to understand it all.

Yeah it sounds like a big gamble from what I've read thus far. I wanted to look for a somewhat non-violent way to ctb because I don't want to traumatize the people who will find my body after I'm gone which is why I was looking into insulin.

It can certainly induce coma quickly. In a cold season, hypothermia would set in quickly.
