Method Could I cut open a prescription pill and consume the medidine inside so it activates all at once?

I had a bunch of pills come loose in my purse and got crushed. It gave me an idea. Could I cut open a pill so I could consume all the medicine inside so it activates all at once, causing an overdose? How effective would that be?

Would any OTC drugs be effective using this method?

Since you mention pills that can be cut open, I imagine you're talking about those hard-shelled capsule pills. When you swallow one of those you're already "consuming all the medicine all at once", because the capsule dissolves in your stomach, and the powder/granules/pellets that were inside it are released at the same time.

There's other types of pills that are designed as extended-release types, but either way, pill overdoses are not a reliable method.
