• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Why are people who claim to be desperate to learn what happens after we die so reluctant to give observing corpses for an extended period of time a try? @Weebster

Good point. It's completely unavailable in a first-world country like my native Canada, and extremely perilous even when available in my adopted country India.

I'm fascinated by corpses and the dead, I'm not a fan of whatever smell will inevitably come out of them. I look up gore and death all the time, never seen a dead body in real life though. But I would love to, I think it would help me put things in more perspective. It certainly wouldn't change my mind about ending my own life though, death is a guarantee no matter what and I want it on my own terms.

Not a day goes by that someone doesn't start a thread about desperately needing to find out what happens when we die. I used to tell such inquisitive people to observe the ever-so-unpredictable behavior of corpses, but none of them were prepared to give it a go. Some of them even had the gall to call me crazy just because they're lazy. Bribe or seduce a mortician/funeral parlor director/mortuary makeup artist, rob a fresh grave, befriend an amiable necrophile; where there's a will, there's a way (pardon my pro-life cliché).

If a person really wanted to do this, any time there was a funeral, they could put on their nicest clothing and go pay their respects. There might not be an opportunity for unlimited viewing, but at many funerals they could spend at least some amount of time with the departed. [Tip: arrive very early.] OF COURSE one would want to be kind to and say nice things to the grieving family members. Reading the obituary ahead of time might help them figure out some nice things to say to the family and close friends.

But this won't give you any information about the afterlife, though. Isn't that what people tend to ask about?

This thread does not make any sense, you cannot find out anything from a corpse as it literally is just a corpse. Just let the dead rest in peace. There is nothing after this life, I believe we simply cease to exist and that is it. Death happens everyday and will happen to everyone eventually. That is the only true purpose of life, to die.

A friend of me is necrophiliac he loves corpses and he is not only watching them but on the other hand he is very interested in afterlife. He is keen on my corpse and he wants me to send him a message from the other side.

I guess this is what stand-up comics feel like after giving an unwanted free performance to a bunch of grieving ingrates at a funeral. :ahhha:
