Communists of SS, do you feel like there's hope for a communist/socialist state to emerge?

If you are about to say communism is fascism, please learn a bit more about communism before replying. Thank you. Anyhow, personally, I wish something like the USSR would form once again, but I am cynical. I look at the world and I see barely any struggle. There is no class war if everyone fighting for something better is crushed or brainwashed into complacency.

Communism has the same problem that capitalism has... people.

True pure communism is kind of what most people want if you get honest answers from them. Most people want to be on an equal level to everyone else, they don't like people being exploited for more... most people want help to be available when they are down and need it.

The old barn-raisings where everyone pitched in to help when one person's barn was lost... and no one acted high and mighty and rubbed it in or guilted people over why they got help and others didn't.

People want medical care to be available when hey need it and not have to beg or go into debt for it. People want a place to live and food to eat.

The "it takes a village..." mantra is communism... People always talk about wanting to "communicate" or be "part of the community" and people always want to be in clubs or groups or whatever.

The problem, though... is in practice true communism doesn't work on a grand scale, just like capitalism/democracy doesn't work on a grand scale.

A dozen people can do either and make it work... but once you cross a threshold... inevitably there are too many people fr everyone to be involved all the time in everything... so representative-ism happens... and then those people want to be treated differently... and you have a power structure falling into place, and people then want that power... and people start to look at others and wonder why it seems like they have more than I do... and on it goes.

Communism falls apart for the same reason as every other society does... People. Communism itself isn't inherently bad at all. It can be very good... but like most systems, it requires everyone be on board... and this is hard to do in reality.

Thoughts on Council Communism? Do you think it might solve some of those issues?

I had to read a little about it... on one hand it sounds more promising... on the other, it still feels like it is inevitable in any larger society for it to be increasingly difficult to have everyone on the same page. Once a significant portion of the people feel disenfranchised, the cracks begin to show. My farm produces more food than yours, so why don't I have more than you? My work is better than yours at the factory, why do I not have more than you?

Most people just can't help but look around and compare... communism usually gets an easier start after a corrupt dictatorship where a clear villain exists and gets the attention to overthrow... but once the dust settles, and all the people who thought everyone should be equal see how that shakes out... inevitably some of them start to think and express that they should have more than some others... and the dominoes start to fall.

Communism can't work properly until people change radically...which won't happen.
