Relatively quick. Life is short and memories only remain with the living. But that's the same for everyone else. :)

Personally, it comforts me to know we're all insignificant in that sense. Nothing we do really matters during our brief episode in this realm. It's really bemusing to see how invested some people get in their own little lives.

i thought the exact same things that you mention in your post.

It's mind boggling to me how this is true. Don't they notice the decades flying by ( more noticeable if older). ?

Not noticing how brief , how insignificant , life and a human are : i attribute it to mass societal brainwashing . What else could it be? i too was brainwashed . It's only been recently that i stepped out of the matrix and realized i am really insignificant , how brief life is and that nothing really matters.

Of course we will all be forgotten eventually. That is the way that life is. I find this thought comforting, I do not want to be remembered. I want my existence to be erased from everyones memories, it was a mistake me being here in the first place. Also, the way I see it, it does not mean anything to me how people react after my death as at that point I will be at peace, I will be gone.
