If you want to know what i'm talking about, search it up; In short, I have 2.2 pounds of citric acid in powdered form and 8 oz of baking soda, if I want to use all that baking soda, how much water do I need to dissolve the citric acid in and how much spoons of citric acid do I need to add to the water?
it will be in a bag, just like the post I linked here. From what I heard for every gram of baking soda you need 1.17 grams of citric acid so I need 265.59g of citric acid for 8 oz of baking soda, the question I have is how much ml of water do I need to dissolve 265.59 grams of citric acid

Therefore I guess for 265.59 g I need 274.88ml

boiling it, one part baking soda yields half part CO2 gas (plus some water vapor). with excess acid, one to one. (though I'd have to look up on their kinetics to say what the exact ratio will be when you boil it *while* in excess acid - no one needs to know, it's just somewhere between 2:1 and 1:1) and oh, yeah, we've not talked about vapor pressure just yet but, you know which you want. dissolve the citric first and start adding the base to it.
I don't know if your citric is a hydrate or water-free. the calculations work differently for each (cuz you provided mass).
still all I can say is, I don't know how successful it'll be. I just sorta feel like I'm back in chemistry lab again.

This will definitely kill you, and it'll be quick, but it will not be painless. CO2 causes a panic response in the body.
Just get some dry ice (not that hard to find; a lot of grocery stores have it). Dump all the dry ice in a container about twice the size of the volume of the ice you have. Let that sit for about ten minutes. Now slowly open the container, put you head as low as you can without touching the ice, and take a big breath.
Chances are you'll start coughing, choking, and panicking long before you get enough oxygen deprivation to pass out. You just breathed nearly pure CO2, and it burns.
And if by some chance you're a freak of nature and can manage to keep your head there for a few more breaths, you'll pass out after like two or three breaths, then you'll slowly asphyxiate, but you won't be awake to notice.

But 470 ml is about the same amount as a water bottle, for every 15 grams of powdered CA, how much ml of water do I need?

you don't need to do maths on this tbh. slowly add water to the citric until the solution is clear. then, add the baking soda in a few portions, keeping as much gas in it as you can. after that you're all set to plunge your head into it.
it's my experience that you can get very strong SI from choking. it's almost like a flinch, or it creeps up slowly but you'd get it eventually. so measures likely needs be taken to follow it through.
i would recommend against this. carbon dioxide produces carbonic acid with water. you are mostly water. if the concentration is high enough, every mucous membrane will burn as you asphyxiate. trust me.
you will die though, if the concentration of co2 is high enough. it will probably take a couple minutes to be out, you'd die in maybe 5-10.
they recommend we euthanize lab rodents with co2. i did it a few times but had to change methods because it's clearly very unpleasant. please reconsider.

Also, I don't know the exact process, but any time you're working with chemicals, you should use distilled water. It's in gallon containers right next to the spring and filtered water.

to OP: go buy some DI water or break into the closest (bio)chem lab you can find cuz we're suicidal, yes, but we're suicidal lab techs. non-distilled water is very bad for your health (like you still need it), I mix it with my heroin and it's caused me every problem from diverticular disease at the sweet age of twenty to failing intentional ODs. heck, buy a distillation kit! and then you can try methanol poisoning which is probably even more painful than CO2 asphyxiation. /s

I sort of just want this thread to give up on me. so, just to make sure you still feel that I care, I went to see the picture in there and yes I know some Japanese. BUT that's just store-bought citric and baking soda from some Japanese pharmaceutical… what do you think an average teenager can have access to? DXM and Benadryl, *over the counter*.

I doubt I made a perfect solution though as it's cloudyish instead of looking like normal water and the reaction between the two made it 800ml so not all of it fitted in the container; I had a small amount of baking soda before but it expired so I used the container for it to measure 180g of citric acid salt and poured the baking soda that I thought was useless down the toilet, I also poured the excess citric acid salt down the same toilet too and it started fizzing... So I guess it works?

cloudish is alright, though defintely not optimal. if at one point it turns clear (despite fizzing) then you're good. still I wish you could go in a more peaceful way but if it's what you choose then I wish you the best of luck.

I can't get nitrogen or any other inert gas as easily here. All helium contain 20% oxygen, partial hanging literally doesn't work and there's no anchor high enough for me to do suspension. This method doesnt require me to get expensive gas bottles or valves and types, only household ingredients, I also heard if you let CO2 build up in the bag so that bag contains at least 30% of it, you would lose consciousness instantly, the guy in the article I linked supposedly died instantly this way so it must work
Yep I failed.
The baking powder was not in a container in a bag but rather in the bag itself; It was a pain in the ass to squeeze the air out of the bag and put it over my head especially with the citric acid container still in it and I most likely didnt do it right. I dont know what caused me to take the bag off, I guess my SI is way stronger than I realized or it was the burning feeling I felt in my nose, I dont know if that one came then or later. I took the bag off my head and accidentally released some (or maybe all) of the CO2, I waited until the skinny bin bag inflated and stuck my head in it and oh god the pain was unbearable, it wasnt like I was sucked of air but rather if someone stuck a lighter up my nose, I even used a scarf on my face to filter it out but it only made it worse.
The burning smell was carbonic acid for anyone wondering, I dont know how one would filter it out. /edit: Turns out citric acid + baking soda creates only sodium citrate, water and carbon dioxide, I have no idea what caused the burning smell, does CO2 do that?
I am very disappointed because I was planning on dying before christmas :c, I guess I can't let that happen could I?

edit: I dont know if it went wrong because my citric acid solution wasnt clear/good or if that's what is supposed to happen. I'm too much of a pussy to redo it especially when family are coming over for Christmas, if it's the latter then that japanese dude must have had balls to carry this one out
