It doesn't sound like what you really want to hear, but maybe her being on the other side is a blessing? you are as close to them as you can be, for your own comfort. Not truely alone. And if, should something happen, you need to call out, they are right there. A little low music for white noise might help with the sounds, or a fan if you can.

It takes a fairly large volume of water to dissolve it all. Swirl it a bit to try to dissolve as much as you can.
