As far as I know that's a standard setting, the member has to positively open their profile. If they don't I believe it remains closed as the standby position.

The default setting on the site for all users is to keep the profile invisible to others. To make your profile visible, you have to go into your account settings and change the setting.

Some people's profiles are private, but some are public. I think it was about 50/50 of the usernames I clicked on last time I was here.

I agree that this website is extremely confusing. I literally just spent an hour trying to find how to get to the button that says log in. And trying to find a thread reply with a photo in it because that's the only way I can remember getting the "log in" page to pop up.

I also have mental & cognitive disorders and disabilities (other than ADHD & autism) that affect my ability to do anything such as reading, concentrating, & being able to focus to figure out a problem, and remembering what I'm doing while I'm doing.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know how to make an original post on this website? Who could list directions in very simple steps?

I'm trying to figure out what section to post questions about how to use the website in, but I can't even figure out how to get to what the list of topics is that the threads are organized into.

Also, does anyone know what happened to the "Partners" category thread?

I remember seeing it before the UK ban notification was on here. And IDK if that affected what is visible somehow because I am in the U.S., but I can't see that category on the forum page anymore.

To make an original post you will see a post thread button on top, click that, while posting it will give you the option to choose which section you want to post the thread in as well,

Here's the partners thread,

Thank you so much for your help :)

Would you be able to send a link to the page from the photo also?

I can't figure out or how to get to that page (or remember how if I was there in the past)

If you hit that lightning Icon on the very top right hand corner and then click new posts you'll get there.

A year ago, or even just a few months ago, the default was that everyone's profile was visible. I think forum administrators changed the default to invisible only somewhat recently.
