Help Can't see private chat?

Someone started a private chat with me, i've got the notification but when I click on it there's just an empty page? Is this a glitch? It worked before when a mod contacted me about verification?

u got to have a bit more messages. No its not a glitch when u unlock chat u should have this little chat icon on navigation bar that looks like 2 speech bubbles.

Did that mod use private chat or conversations? We mostly use conversations to talk to other users and do age verifications.

Private chat doesn't currently work for you as you don't have the permissions to use public chat. Its a bug that hasn't been fixed. For now use the "start conversation" button and not the "start chat" button as you are able to DM people through conversations so send a conversation to the person that started a private chat with you if you want to talk to them.

Even for Private Messages? Are the requirements time related so i need to be on here for more than...i think ive been here for a month or is it post amount related? I dont want to spam posts that i dont really need just to be able to read what someone wanted to private tell me...

The mod started to conversation to confirm my age, which i did do. I'd think i wouldn't have any more restrictions after that. So if i start a private chat with the person it should show up?

I mean this system's been in place for a while now and the posts here are still mostly high quality, so it doesn't look like it's affected much so far :P

yeah because now im dredging up some questions or...something to make posts about because i cannot be patient and i am paranoid about what that person is wanting to talk about (nothing bad probably, related to a post of mine most likely but haha....paranoia go brrr)

no worries about being stupid u are not, by messages i meant comments and posts (dont recommend posts as most things have been already posted/answered but if u want to vent feel free) the little number under your creation date shows you how much u written.

ah okay i see...yeah i mostly lurk on here from time to time without really doing anything (and also for some reason i completely forgot that this site existed a few weeks after joining...no idea why but my brain yote that info). Thank you for the help!
