I would still test it just to be safe, but it could be the right stuff. The last time I bought SN, I tested it with an aquarium strip in a glass and the Nitrite was maxed out so I knew it was good. I just couldn't get myself to drink it.
If you really are certain you want to do this, definitely do something fun the day before you use it. Eat your favorite foods, play your favorite games, watch your favorite movies, do something fun one last time!
