Can we stay neutral in the Israel-Palestine conflict if our governments fund it?

I live in Germany and we certainly have blood on our hands. I attended 4 protests pro-Palestine. And there was very close to zero antisemitism. I would say 95% of the people there were free of antisemitism considering the speeches I listened to. Considering the posters I saw.

Always when I say to other German students I went to pro-palestine they assume the protestors were low-key antisemitic. And none of them actually ever went to a protest. It is probably the German media that gives them this impression. The takes of German media pundits are ridiculous. My therapist considered it threatening to jews attending such protests.

Soon I will have a party. My college friend is more Israel friendly. And my two closest friends I knew from my school days are absolutely pro-Palestine. And wear Kufiyaa. I already see a massive argument incoming.

Are we complicit in what is happening in Palestine if we don't engage in protest against it? Personally, I don't believe Israel ever had the intention for a longlasting ceasefire. Netanjahu needs that war to stay in
office. They will use any excuse to continue this war. So people want a Noble peace prize for Trump? How long has the "peace" lasted?

There are some Western nations that acknowledged the state Palestine. But they only wanted to wash their hands clean from the blood. It is a symbolic act nothing more.

Would we then also be complicit to Uyghur persecutions in China, or the killings of Rohingya in Myanmar?

I don't think a German civilian could reasonably be seen as complicit to the actions of any foreign government or its military. I also don't think foreign protests has any impact. On the contrary they might distract from things of real importance - whether that is to actually help the region, or even completely unrelated local issues.

You don't have blood on your hands, your government does, which is nothing new. I don't think Germany ever stood at the right side of history.

There are people in Germany who protest against it but the police act brutally to silence them. I've seen many vidoes of them punching and arresting people in peaceful protests.

Israel is a rabid dog that only exists because after stealing Palestinian land, so what's new.

You remove Netanyahu and another Netanyahu replaces him. The entire Israeli government is full of Psychopaths since its creation.

Nobody wants a Nobel Peace Prize for Trump. I certainly don't. He has the blood of around a million innocent people on his hands.

If you didn't ask your government to fund a war, your citizenship says nothing. No matter the regime, you literally don't have a say how the state wastes the money from taxes — ripping you off.

People try to cope by finding something tangible to blame, because blaming the untouchable elites would mean one doesn't have any control over their lives.

Parties, protests, votes… in the big picture stopped making a change like 200 years ago.

Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. I don't mean to invalidate the work of people who are politically active and try to make a change - I love seeing you guys doing better step by step. But personally, I'm pretty burnt out from politics.
