Afaik dock line, about 1/2 inch (thumb thick) is suggest.

I'm pretty sure you can can find that in India.

Am having same prblm. Did u find one?

Brought this few months back..as many posts said here that rope must be non stretchable...but it wasnt flexible enough to properly gie the knots..hid it in a shelf..now can't find it..had to buy new one now..
