I live in a different country than my parents and don't have much contact with them. After I'm gone, I don't want to burden them with all the post-mortem stuff, funeral planning, repatriation of remains, etc. I was wondering if it would be possible to mention in a written will asking for my body to be incinerated immediately without informing anyone (I don't have many friends here either). I will send my parents a letter through delayed mails much later informing them about it all ofcourse. By then, they wouldn't have to deal with all the logistical stuff surrounding death.

Moreover, I don't want my parents to know anything about the manner of suicide. Can I enforce that my post mortem reports aren't shared with anyone but the police/investigators/etc?

You can just gotta find someone who will act out your wishes write burial instructions to Someone you trust idk about you're death certificate tho they might tell you're parents what happened against you're will.

I think it depends on the country you live in. In some they have to respect ur wishes to not share information with ur parents etc.

Their are laws that we cannot change but in my case for example, ive had advanced directive drawn up and my executor will return my remains to nature ahead of cosmic reunion, when earth implodes. The nature of my death remains unknown of course, but i will die of disease or something else. The last thing i want is a funeral where dysfunctional family members cry politely, only to find that my carer and animal charity are the joint beneficiaries.

You can prepay your funeral if you want. Arrange a meeting with a funeral director. You can make whatever arrangements you like. You can tell him that you want a direct cremation. They will cremate you and either bury the ashes there or send them to whoever you indicate.

The police will try to locate your next of kin and inform them of your death. As for the post Mortem report, the laws vary depending on where you live. Usually the next of kin are able to request a post Morten report. I don't think that you can stop people from seeing it.

Will the police try to immediately inform the next of kin? Or would that be after the funeral?

What are these laws called? What do I even search for to find them?

They would inform your next of kin as soon as possible. They wouldn't wait until after the funeral.
