• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I feel bored almost all the time. Life is getting somewhat better honestly, but when I don't feel excited about anything I kind of want to ctb...

Does this happen to you?

Someone once described life as being on a spectrum with boredom in the middle. Some get stuck in a cycle where upon reaching boredom, they attempt to do things that excite and end up in trouble. After solving the problems that got them in trouble, they end up back in boredom. To move out of the realm of boredom, it may be necessary to seek a different reward that excitement. The reward a parent has in seeing his child take his first steps or when a stranger thanks you for holding a door open for him touch a part of the soul that satisfies more than excites.

It might be that the path forward lies in identifying that which provides a deeper satisfaction. The life of excitement is one of consumption and is a growing hunger that is difficult to satisfy. The realm of happiness is more often found through what one can do for others.

I have a similar issue. I have severe OCD, but I have made a lot of progress in it this past year as far as not cleaning things so much. But I noticed having more time on my hands from not cleaning as much I end up bored more often.

I want to CTB for other reasons as well, but the boredom certainly doesn't help.

I've been anhedonic for years, but it's getting impossible to distract myself, seems like it doesn't matter whether I watch something or just stare at the wall. My life feels pretty stable atm and I am not that suicidal, but I wish I could just exit. There's plenty of things that I could do, but I don't have much to look forward to, I just keep on existing cause of SI.
