• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I was donating my blood the other day for health reasons, and a thought went into my head-- what if there was a way to, instead of cutting and bleeding out, remove enough blood from the body that you just die?

I think I read that in a method guide once.
It was from one of the ashspace ones, archived now, but a big guide written in green text said it could be possible, if you had medical equipment, you know those needles and bottles that they use that take it automatically, instead of cutting. Since it wouldnt heal and youd be cutting out the middleman. It was speculation and it didnt go further than that, it was a post as long as this. But yeah Ive heard of that before.

I don´t think so he just need to use a venflon the needle in the hand and then blood automatically flushes out, he could just have a bucket to collect the blood or lie in a bathtub even if he goes unconscious the blood will keep flowing.

I really like this idea. I don't like needles, but I could probably overcome that fear. It seems painless once the needle is in. How long do you think it would take to lose enough blood to cause death?

I think you would need something to pump out the blood since the pressure will eventually drop because of the lack of blood

Yeah, pretty much what others said here. Blood letting isn't likely to be successful as survival instincts kick in and your body stops the blood flowing (which you drift off to unconsciousness from blood loss). Unless you have someone forcing more blood out of you and override your body's SI from cutting blood flow, you will likely survive. The other way people die is cutting a major artery and die within minutes, but that is MUCH trickier to achieve.

I have a number of friends in the self harm community.
Cutting yourself would not work as the blood congeals.
But there are people who use self canulation.
This involves all the equipment that is used to locate a sturdy vein, assure the plastic canula is secured inside it and secure it using tape or ideally the adhesive plastic patches made for the purpose.
There is a plug on this and I know people who will use it to extract quite large amounts of blood. It does require a large syringe.
I've also seen people accidentally cause an artoreial bleed. It really does spurt and spray just like you might have seen on TV.
I had some urgent surgery and a central line was fitted(that's a canula to feed medication into a major vessel). It was removed right away after surgery and the nurse said that is because when you are all messed up from the anaesthetic, you may yank out the tube and canula and it could be difficult to stop that bleeding.
So,no real idea if any of those things would make it a possibility. Just something to think about.

Cut your wrist, that's an easy way. But it required you to suffer a lot of pain.
