Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I know in a lot of cases it's probably petty and mby even a bit pathetic. I mean, there are also lots of cases, where it's totally warranted and justified. I'm prob gonna block sb I rlly cared for (I still do kinda) tomorrow, not bcs they have done anything bad specifically, but I just catch myself looking at the chat and at their profile again and again and again. So I think I need to block them and delete the chat, so I can at least try to move on. Man I don't want to move on from people I love/ loved anymore, I want them to stay.
Did you ever block someone for similar reasons?

I haven't done that specifically but i should and its probably the right decision, constantly checking in and looking at the old messages and profile is agonizing so you should do that and see if it helps.

Yeah, you are probably right, it is agonising. I've always been bad at moving on

Yes, but she didn't remain blocked. Now we text superficially here & there; she refuses to cut the thread even though she's unengaged in the friendship, and I just like having someone to chat with for a few minutes every once in a while. It's been 2 years of this distance.

There's quite a few people now who I love and don't have the capacity for attachment to anymore. I think it's a good idea to delete anything you can go back and look at obsessively; I used to have an archive of chats and screenshots and I had to delete it as well because constantly ruminating on the attachment with the old messages and pictures was stunting my grief.

I blocked people who wanted to hurt me. And I knew if I don't block them they won't stop trying to hurt me. But it wasn't connected to love.

I was in a short relationship with a woman at the beginning of 2025 until she ghosted me in such a weird and sort of manipulative way. But eventually I understood what she was doing. My last message to her was very emotional and I wanted her to tell her some things. How positive her impact was on my life. And I don't blame her for ghosting me. It was part of her condition. I didn't double text her so her birthday passed without a message of me. The semi-ghosting was going on for a couple of weeks already and I was just tired. I am pretty sure she never read my last message and instead deleted the chat without reading it. Which hurt but it wasn't horrible for me. We had contact on different platforms. And on one platform the algorithm still recommeneds me to follow her to this day. I noticed since our time only very few posts were added. I sometimes think about sending her a follow to see her content. Though, thus far I never did. I want to remember her in a good way. And I think I would be angry on her if she talked in a bad way about me. Moreover, I want to move on. I don't want to end like my dad who was never able to move on from my mom.

There is one woman whom I dated this year where I felt such a strong connection. But she also ghosted me. I also fantasize to text her again but that's unhealthy. She could message me any time and I still would be interested. But maybe this is not fully true. The last days I texted with two women and this helped me to move on a little bit. But I was ghosted once again. But actually the woman would have been in a different country. She was kind and we had a good chemistry but it wasn't good enough I guess. I wonder why she ghosted me. I could assume different factors played a role. I might create another thread this evening to address this. Because I am back on this forum. And like for most people on here this often implies something bad happened in their life.
