Today I spoke with a priest who told me that I have detached myself from reality. According to him, I can no longer perceive life as a gift from God and have become trapped in a nihilistic view, where existence has neither purpose nor meaning. He emphasized that my view of life as a mechanical and biological process, reduced to physical laws, has distanced me from the human mission, which should be spiritual and guided by a higher sense.
He explained that considering life solely in biological terms is wrong, and that this view makes me ill, far from reality, and from truly understanding existence. He also told me that this view is a temptation of the devil, and that I must be very careful about what I say and think, because the evil one is always lurking, trying to lead me away from the great gift of life. According to him, I am currently under the influence of these temptations and need to find my way back to the right path. He said he would pray for me so that I can understand the mistakes I am making and rediscover the purpose of life, which goes beyond biology.

I am always left astonished by such wisdom, which makes me reflect on how I am trying to understand life through a lens that perhaps is not the right one.

After visiting a priest do you think this reflection will reverberate enough to fully change your worldview? It seems his words affected you a lot.
