Beta blocker is not a luxury item

According to PPH a beta blocker is mistakenly called a luxury item. It actually potentiates the SN according to PPH. I noticed Stans Guide says it's a luxury and not needed? Hmmm. I got a beta blocker so when the time comes I'll keep y'all updated. It will be anywhere from a month to a few months out.

PPH says to take 800 mg which is huge. How would anyone stay awake if you take that much. Probably most of that would be vomited out quickly with the SN.

Edit. With what they suggest it's only 10 pills. I can swallow 10 that size at once. That's not bad at all. I wonder how many metoprolol I should take when I do it? Mine are 25mg pills and are super small. Still 800mg?

Ouch. 10mg would suck. It says crush it up and put it right in the SN drink though. Mine are 25mg, so that will be 32 of these. Hmm. Might have to do 100ml water.

I have read absolutely tons of information on propranolol, I looked at all different methods and dosages and adsorption time, but I think I finally came up with my happy ending, Jesus I done a lot of research.
If you can keep the heart rate from zooming up to high levels you are going to lose consciousness faster.
We cannot get 80 mg propranolol. I only have 10 mg. And as I recall the 40 mg is time release which means there is a coating on it. Of course you would crush them up. I would take them about 10 minutes before drinking SN.
Previously, PPEH recommended 2000 mg of Propranolol until 2020. What???
Why such a large dose? 800 mg?
I'm sure 200 mg is enough. I do not understand.
By the way, beta blockers are easy to get in my country. I don't understand why they have been described as luxury items. But I definitely won't drink 800 mg. Overdose symptoms are dire. I'm sure 200 mg is enough for me.

What country are you from? I'm surprised beta blockers are available OTC in some (Western?) countries.
The conflicting information about beta blockers are making things very confusing for many., including me. The PPH changed the amount you are recommended to take while Stan's guide describes it as luxery,. In addition, I think the PPH is recommending to crush the pills and swallow them with the SN, which is not practical and doesn't sound like a good idea as the pills need some time to work. In addition, if you do that and you vomit after taking SN, you'll be vomiting out the pills as well.
I personally would take them, but maybe not in such high dosages and some time before taking SN. I think it's a personal choice since different sources are saying different things. From what I understand, it'll make your heart rate go slower so you pass out faster, but the information about the amount you need to take and how much benefit you get from them is conflicting.
What we know for sure though is they are not necessary when taking SN.
I assume they know you will vomit up most of it. If they say to take it with the SN then most will come back up.
Of course you would crush the pills. This not only over rides the time release coating the 40 mg ones have, but allows the drug to enter your system quickly.
