If I strangle myself with a leather belt, will it work? Lets say I apply the night night method with it. Will it leave any marks on my neck, in case I fail?

Update: I tried the belt method with night night but failed to find the sweet spot. It ended in failure, if anyone lets me know where the sweet spot id it would be of great help.
